An Orlando man was charged with drunk driving after crashing his motorcycle into three vehicles in front of police at Leesburg Bikefest.

An officer observed an orange motorcycle passing through the area of West Main and North 6th streets on Saturday evening, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The driver, 61-year-old George Robert Bryant, was having extreme difficulty maintaining control of his motorcycle. He rear-ended an event staff golf cart within the intersection before turning left and accelerating westbound on Main. Bryant swerved left, striking a parked motorcycle that fell to the ground, and then struck a third motorcycle, the report said.

Bryant and a female passenger fell with the bike and sustained minor abrasions to their right sides, according to the report.

After the crash investigation was completed, the officer told Bryant he was now under a criminal investigation. In response, Bryant admitted to operating a motor vehicle during the crash but denied striking any other vehicles or objects, the report said.

After failing a series of field sobriety exercises, Bryant was placed under arrest and escorted to the Leesburg police station on foot due to limited access to roadways during the event. While at the police station, Bryant submitted two breath samples that registered alcohol levels of .186 and .194, according to the report.

The Pennsylvania native was charged with DUI with accidental property damage and taken to the Lake County Jail, where he was released after posting $1,000 bond.
