Imogene (Messer) Wigglesworth went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 14, 2022. She was born July 6, 1928 in Center Hill, FL.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents; father, Geanous Calvin Messer and mother, Zula (Walworth) Messer; and her brother, Travis (Connie) Messer. She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest W. Wigglesworth; daughter, Lynne Barrier; stepdaughters, Jayne and Jo Wigglesworth; stepson, Mike (Peggy) Wigglesworth; and sister, Lura (Keith) Hull.
Imogene worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Production and Marketing Administration in Tavares; the Tupperware Corporation; City Hall in Orlando; and she retired from the Lake County Health Department. Imogene loved to sing and was active in the First Baptist Church of Tavares church choir. She played the drums, piano, and guitar. Imogene also loved to travel; she traveled to 5 European countries, Nova Scotia, The Alps, and throughout the western United States.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Steverson, Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral home, Tavares. A Funeral Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11:00AM. Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
