Lake County residents invited to learn about Florida-Friendly Landscape

The UF/IFAS Extension Central District will present an in-person Water Wednesday Workshop: Ways to Create Your Own Florida-Friendly Landscape on March 30 at the Lake County Discovery Gardens.

The day includes demonstrations on how to build your own rain barrel, providing water in your backyard for wildlife, understanding and calibrating your irrigation system, mulching, at-home composting, and other Florida-Friendly practices.

Participants will take home a Florida-Friendly plant, a Florida-Friendly Landscape Guide, a water bottle, a rain gauge, light refreshments and other items including some door prizes and other giveaways.
