Alan Norman Henzi, 79, of Leesburg, FL., passed away on December 6, 2021. Alan was born in Elmhurst, IL., to the late Hertha and Victor Henzi. Alan lived the majority of his life in the Chicago area before retiring to Florida in 2007 (initially as a snowbird). Alan was a hard worker and enjoyed a long career as a mechanical engineer. He married the love of his life Saveria, and enjoyed 49 wonderful years of marriage before her passing in 2016. Alan enjoyed spending time with his family: coaching & cheering on his sons in their sporting events, taking family vacations, and playing cards& board games. When he wasn’t spending time with his family he enjoyed dancing (ballroom and square), billiards, Thai chi, and listening to music (classical, opera and jazz). Family and friends will remember Alan as scholarly (particularly enjoyed studying military history), dependable, and generous.Alan is survived by his son James(Lauren) Henzi; grandchildren Kyle and Andrew (Kiarra); and great grandchild, Brenna; and a host of many family members and friends. Alan is preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Victor, and siblings Herta, Rudy and Fred.Family will welcome guests at Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, on Saturday January 15th, 2022 from 10 AM to 11 AM, followed by a funeral ceremony at 11 AM.Arrangements are entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leesburg, FL
