Kenneth Charles Dean, husband to Rebecca Tyler Dean passed away in Leesburg, Florida on Thursday, September 9, 2021, after complications from an illness.

Kenneth was born to the late Thomas Dean and Emma Dean (step-father Eddie) of MacClenny and joined siblings Tony Dean and Cheryl Rowe, both of MacClenny and both whom he loved very much. Kenneth married Rebecca on November 27, 1991, in St. Mary’s, Georgia and was blessed with 4 children: Ryan Dean (Alice) of North Carolina, Raia James (Ken) of Florida, Kelsey Gallegos (Allen) of North Carolina and Kal Dean (Tori) of North Carolina. Later the family welcomed 7 beautiful grandchildren to their growing family: Chase, Kaidyn, Taylor, Wyatt, Parker, Sawyer, and Korah. As a papa, Kenneth found great joy in spending time with his family traveling and enjoying every moment that life had to offer him, building memories with those he loved.

Kenneth relocated to Florida after accepting the position as Plant Manager at the Zephyrhills plant for Altium Packaging. During his career with Altium Packaging, Kenneth earned a reputation for being very social, a straight-talker and for maintaining a phenomenal work ethic. Kenneth was known as a man of his word and prided himself on maintaining high standards for quality. He approached his role as a leader among his team as a collaborative effort intended to prepare his team with skills needed to reach their own personal goals.

An avid lover of life near the water, Kenneth and Rebecca recently relocated to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida. During his brief period in Lake Panasoffkee as a resident, Kenneth was able to enjoy the beauty of Lakes in central Florida with family, his wife, children, and grandchildren. Kenneth will be remembered for his big heart and infectious personality. Kenneth lived his life with bravery in the most uncertain times, choosing to trust in God’s plan, rather than live in fear. Loved deeply by his family and adored by those that he knew, Kenneth’s fighting spirit, will live on in the hearts and minds of those that had the pleasure of encountering him.

A memorial service will be led by Pastor Karl Hall on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Manntown Congregational Holiness Church, 8087 South County Road 125, Glen St. Mary’s, Fl 32040, to celebrate his life and to mourn the loss of a great son, husband, father, and papa. The family will receive friends and family following the service at 6026 George Hodges Road, MacClenny, Fl 32063.

A casual celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Train Depot, 39110 South Avenue, Zephyrhills, Fla. at 3:00 pm to celebrate his life and to mourn the loss of a great husband, father and plant leader.
