A Leesburg woman on a bicycle with no lights was arrested with methamphetamine.

A deputy spotted 44-year-old Jaclyn Hale riding a bicycle at the intersection of Northern Avenue and Bell Road in Leesburg at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The bicycle had no lights, prompting a traffic stop. Hale appeared upset by this but admitted she had something she was not supposed to. She opened her left hand and provided a small plastic baggie of methamphetamine. She was very honest about the situation and even stated she was trying to get back into rehab, the report said.

Hale was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and booked at Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,500.

The Tennessee native was also arrested in April 2021 for methamphetamine found during a traffic stop in Eustis.
