An inmate at Lake County Jail was charged after allegedly exposing his penis to another inmate without consent.

Michael Anthony Hodge, 35, of Leesburg, was arrested in April after allegedly attacking his two teenage cousins during a confrontation. He was charged with two counts of battery and booked at Lake County Jail, where he is currently being held without bond.

On Tuesday morning, a deputy responded to the jail in Tavares for allegations against Hodge regarding the exposure of sexual organs. Another inmate claimed the incident occurred between 6 and 9 p.m. on Monday, before medication pass, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The inmate denied this, but Hodge pulled his pants down to expose his penis and masturbate. He told Hodge to stop, prompting Hodge to attempt to remove the inmate’s clothes. The inmate refused and was punched in the mouth, resulting in a busted, bleeding lip, the report said.

Hodge’s shoulder also struck the inmate’s mouth and cracked his tooth. He then grabbed the inmate’s neck to remove his clothes. The inmate escaped to the dayroom upstairs, where Hodge lingered behind him for several minutes, the report said.

The inmate told law enforcement that he was alone with Hodge during the incident, but he had no intention of seeing Hodge’s penis. An examination determined he had a small blood spot, about the size of a grain of rice, on his shirt. He had no visible lip bruising or a cracked tooth, the report said.

The deputy then spoke with Hodge, who initially denied knowledge of the incident. He ultimately stated he entered the cell to discuss being in jail and being gay. He sat on a stool over the inmate, pulled out his penis and told the inmate he must have liked it since he “fell out.”

The report noted that Hodge had several other in-house reports related to sexual offense allegations under the Prison Rape Elimination Act.

Hodge was charged with indecent exposure of sexual organs. He remains at Lake County Jail without bond.

He was also arrested in March after allegedly grabbing a woman by the shirt when told he could not come inside her home.
