The employee advised that Baker, her ex-boyfriend, had been pacing back and forth outside the business and looking through the windows as she worked. A customer who knew Baker pointed him out to her. He left the area before law enforcement arrived, the report said.

She added that Baker had been trespassed from the gas station on April 20. Her assistant manager, who spoke with her by phone, confirmed that Baker came nearly every day during the employee’s shift. He frequently questioned coworkers about her whereabouts, the report said.

The employee and Baker had dated for about a year, from Feb. 10, 2025, to April 10, 2026. He was incarcerated at Lake County Jail for most of their relationship. She had been living with his sister during this time, and he had been trespassed from that residence, the report said.

After their breakup, Baker began stalking and harassing the employee at her workplace. He was subsequently trespassed from the business and later arrested for trespassing after warning and public intoxication. He had been released from custody about a week and a half before this incident, the report said.

The employee normally worked at night, although her schedule varied occasionally. She told Baker verbally and in text that she wanted no further contact with him. She communicated this about one week to several days prior to this incident, the report said.

While she explained this to law enforcement, Baker called her multiple times. She answered one call on speaker and told him to stop calling and harassing her because she was at work. He responded aggressively and used profanity, the report said.

The investigation continued into Sunday afternoon, when the officer observed a tent occupied by Baker at the nearby Walmart, 2501 Citrus Blvd. He initially denied being Baker and pulled his hand away when detained. He ran a short distance before stopping and talking to the deputy, the report said.

Baker advised that every time he went to Circle K, he walked to the threshold and had someone take his cups inside. They filled the cups, brought them back and he left. He denied going inside or onto the premises, the report said.

He denied going inside or onto the premises. When asked who worked there, he stated he used to be involved with an employee. He denied trying to speak with her, saying the deputy could call and ask her, the report said.

When shown surveillance footage, Baker denied that it was him. He stated the hat belonged to his “homeboy,” who he claimed was right around the corner, the report said.

Baker was arrested on charges of trespassing after warning and stalking. He was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $15,000.
