A Fruiltland Park man was arrested for trespassing after refusing to leave Circle K while drunk.
Deputies responded to Circle K, located at 2211 Citrus Blvd., Leesburg, to trespass 41-year-old Larry Larue Baker around 4:20 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The operator on duty advised that he was in the restroom, and she wanted him trespassed due to an ongoing issue involving his disturbances. When told he was being trespassed by law enforcement, he immediately became verbally combative. He was told again to leave and walked outside, but he continued to argue about it while still on the property, the report said.
He was given another chance to leave and was increasingly verbally aggressive toward deputies. The entire time, he walked around with a Budweiser can and seemed to be heavily intoxicated. He slurred his speech, moved unsteadily and spoke loudly. He also admitted he was drunk, the report said.
After being put in the back of a patrol vehicle, Baker mentioned he was going to “put two” in the deputies’ heads, implying he was going to kill them. He also mentioned that he would bond out in no time to do so, the report said.
Baker was arrested on charges of trespass after warning and disorderly intoxication. He was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $1,500.
