A Lady Lake man was arrested for theft after stashing $5 worth of food in his pockets at Walmart.
Officers responded to Walmart, located at 2501 Citrus Blvd., regarding retail theft at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. Dispatch advised that 35-year-old Sean Glenn Rigsby was stashing food in his pockets.

Upon arrival, the officers found Rigsby leaving the store with a loss prevention associate following behind him and trying to stop him. Merchandise stuck out of his pockets near his waistband, and he was then detained for it. The officers ultimately recovered two chicken egg rolls and a Muscle Milk protein shake, all worth $5.98, the report said.
Surveillance footage showed how he wandered the store and picked up the items before passing through the grocery exit. The loss prevention associate confronted him, but he actively walked away until being stopped by law enforcement, the report said.
A check of Rigsby’s criminal history revealed several prior convictions for theft, with the two most recent being on April 21, 2025, and May 1, 2023. He had also been arrested more than three times within the last six months, including on March 16, 2026, Feb. 8. 2026, and Dec. 19, 2025, the report said.
Rigsby was arrested on charges of retail theft (two or more prior theft) and retail theft (resist merchant). He was booked at the Lake County Jail with bond set at $10,000.
HIs other recent arrests include drug paraphernalia possession at Dollar General in Nov. 2025, trespassing at Sunoco in Oct. 2025, trespassing at a Lady Lake residence in Aug. 2025, trespassing at his brother’s house in June 2025, and trespassing in a service station bathroom in May 2025.
