A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly punching through a window to get inside her ex-boyfriend’s house and hit him with a crowbar.
A deputy responded to a battery with a weapon complaint at an undisclosed Lake County residence at 9:20 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival, he met with the recent ex-boyfriend of 61-year-old Annette Marie Krupnicka.

An argument had begun the night before when she came into his sunroom from the back of the residence. She tried to open the door that led to the main area of the home, but he told her she could not come in. In retaliation, she grabbed a crowbar from a shelf in the sunroom and punched the window to the door, the report said.
Krupnicka slipped her hand through the broken glass to unlock the door from the inside. Her ex-boyfriend tried to wedge himself between her and the entry, but she pushed the door and came inside. They continued to argue, and he told her to leave numerous times, the report said.
He started recording her since she still had the crowbar in her hand. She swung it at him, and he used his left hand to block the strike. Seeing this, she rushed out of the residence and fled the area, the report said.
However, Krupnicka returned on Sunday. Her ex-boyfriend asked her to leave, and she did this time. He also left to go to a job site. At 9 a.m., he was driving on Bluebird Lane in the right lane as he approached Cuckoo Road, the report said.
He then spotted Krupnicka in her black Volkswagen coming toward him on Cuckoo Road. They made eye-contact, and she swerved her vehicle head-on in an attempt to hit him. Fearing she would collide with him, he veered away. He did not see her again for the rest of the day, the report said.
The ex-boyfriend handed over the footage he took of Krupnicka to the deputy. This under 20-second clip showed her holding a crowbar as she argued with him. She lifted it and swung it at him, although the video did not show it making contact. He still showed the deputy his left hand, which had a red mark with slight bruising around it, the report said.
He also advised that they had a history of dating but were not currently together. They lived together in the past at a different residence, as well, and were not now, the report said.
Later that day, the deputy went to 36303 Emeralda Ave., Leesburg, to meet Krupnicka. She admitted they got into a verbal argument and that she broke the window to get inside the residence. She believed her ex-boyfriend was under the influence of narcotics as he was acting erratically, the report said.
She made a motion as if she was holding things as she walked through the residence but would not clarify what she was carrying. She stated she ended up leaving the residence due to the altercation. She came back that day to get some things and left due to the argument, the report said.
She also stated she had been living with her ex-boyfriend for the past month due to them dating for about five to six months. While walking through the residence, the deputy did not see any personal belongings that would belong to a woman. The inside was mostly bare due to the ex-boyfriend remodeling the space, the report said.
Additionally, Krupnicka changed her mailing address on July 7. She said this was just her mailing address, and she did not live there. But her ex-boyfriend advised that she recently moved into that residence and gave it to law enforcement when they were at the scene, the report said.
The deputy noticed she had small lacerations on her hand, as well. This corroborated her breaking the window, the report said.
Krupnicka was subsequently arrested on charges of burglary to an occupied dwelling, criminal mischief (more than $200 less than $1k), aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was transported to Lake County Jail and released after posting $46,000 bond.
The New Jersey native was also arrested in Feb. 2024 for swinging a broomstick at bicyclists riding by her home.
