Eugene C. Sheer, 78, passed away at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL. He was born on September 6, 1945 to Eugene Sheer and Rosemary (Bookmiller) Sheer.
He worked at Kodak, Rochester, N.Y., Wyoming Central School, N.Y. and also painted homes. Gene and his family moved to Florida in 1987, where he continued to paint homes. He finally worked at a residential facility where he finally retired in 2005.
Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years, Linda, sons, Gene (Jennifer) Sheer, James Sheer and daughter Melissa Spino all of Leesburg, FL. 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren a brother John (Kate) Sheer, sister, Dorothy Sheer and many nieces and nephews. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sharon.
Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date at Beyers Funeral Home of Leesburg, FL.
