Officers received a call from a female victim at an undisclosed Leesburg address around 6:40 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. The victim was screaming over the phone and advised that the male subject her daughter had been dating for about one year, later identified as 34-year-old Christopher Alexander Anderson, was going to get a gun. She also advised that he had an active warrant, which was later confirmed to be out of Lake County relative to simple battery (domestic) involving him and her daughter.

Multiple officers arrived on scene. Upon seeing law enforcement, Anderson went inside of his residence. They established a perimeter around the residence and began to give prerecorded and verbal commands through a public address system to Anderson to exit the residence and peacefully surrender to law enforcement, the report said.

After several minutes, Anderson opened and exited the front door and stood at the top of the stairs. Officers gave him multiple verbal commands to get on the ground, but he refused to do so. He instead walked down the front stops where he was arrested on his warrant, the report said.

During the investigation, one of the officers interviewed the victim. She said that earlier that day, she was sitting in her vehicle outside the residence, her daughter on a chair in the front yard and Anderson on the porch. For an unknown reason, he got mad and cursed at the victim’s daughter, acting like he wanted to hit or harm her, the report said.

The victim got out of her vehicle and told Anderson he was not going to hit or do anything to her daughter. When he kept cussing and yelling, she advised she had something for him and grabbed her cellphone. Anderson replied that he had something for the victim, at which point he ran into the residence, the report said.

The victim’s daughter then left the residence and told the victim that both of them should get into the victim’s vehicle and leave because Anderson was going to grab a gun, putting the victim in fear. During that time, the victim saw Anderson walk out of the residence, concealing an item under his t-shirt and placing an item on the front driver’s seat of his black 2005 Honda Pilot which was parked in the front yard of the residence, the report said.

On the front seat of Anderson’s vehicle, officers observed two black pistols in plain view. One had a black hand grip while the other had a brown hand grip. Both firearms had a magazine inserted in them, and both appeared to be loaded, the report said.

Anderson was subsequently charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and resisting (obstructing without violence). The Delaware native was transported to Lake County Jail with bond set at $21,000.
