A Leesburg man was arrested after allegedly breaking down a door at his girlfriend’s home and attacking her.

Police officers found the distraught woman on Monday with “tears and snot running down her face” after the terrifying ordeal at her home, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The woman said she had been asleep with her four-year-old daughter when she heard a loud bang. Chaddrick Detron Greene, 46, began screaming her name from the dining room. The woman told the officers that she and Greene had been in “an intimate relationship for the last five or six months.”

She said that Greene, who stands 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds, threw her onto the dining room floor, prompting she and her daughter to begin screaming. Greene ordered the woman to send her daughter to her room along with the child’s barking dogs, so she would not see what was happening. The little girl grabbed a cell phone and gave it to her mother. The phone was non-operating, but was able to record part of the attack. The woman said Greene continued to strike her in the head and threatened to kill her if she did not leave Leesburg. He also told her that she was going to need a new rear door, before leaving the residence. The victim told the investigating officer Greene said that if she contacted law enforcement he would “come after her in a worse way.” She signed an intent to prosecute affidavit.

The arrest report noted that the rear door had been destroyed and a window screen had been cut. The officer also took a picture of a bruise on the woman’s neck.

Greene was arrested Tuesday and booked without bond at the Lake County Jail.

In 2019, Greene had been arrested in Lake County on a Highlands County warrant charging him with non support. At the time, he owed more than $30,000 in child support.
