Wilma Rose Hindman Harbolt
December 29, 1927 – February 14, 2024

Wilma Rose Hindman Harbolt (96) was born on December 29, 1927, and passed away peacefully on February 14, 2024, after an extended period of being homebound. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Maurice E. “Dutch” Hindman. Later in life, she married widower Jack Harbolt in and they lived in Leesburg and Oklahoma until his passing in 2012.

She was also preceded in death by her mother and father, Leona and Marvin Burnworth, her brother Leon and her sister Loraine. She also had another brother who passed away at age three, prior to her birth.

She is survived by her sons Dan (Maureen) Hindman and Scott (Tami) Hindman, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Wilma was born in Scottsburg Indiana, married Dutch and settled in Indianapolis after he returned from service in WWII and moved with her family to Leesburg in 1968. It is notable that Dutch and Jack both served in the same combat infantry company of the USMC in the Pacific theater of WWII.

Wilma was a lifelong protestant and attended Good News Church of Central Florida before becoming homebound. She liked to bowl and was active in the Leesburg Women’s Club. She also enjoyed attending Marine Corp League conventions and was able to travel extensively until her health prohibited her from doing so.

Services will be held at Beyers Funeral Home chapel, 1123 W. Main St, Leesburg, FL 34748 on Saturday, February 24th at 3:00 pm.
