John “Jack” William Regnvall, Jr., 91, of Leesburg passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024 at Mayfield Retirement Center.

He is survived by his three daughters: Regina (Tom) Harris, Anna (Kevin) Seder, and Victoria Pearson, and his eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his partner of 20 years, Patricia “Patsy” Ezell Meier, and his brother, Arthur Kendrick “Ken” Regnvall. Patsy’s daughter, Linda (Chet) Ross, and her extended family also survive.

Jack was born in Miami, FL, on May 30, 1932, the son of John William Regnvall, Sr., and Mary Kendrick Regnvall. He graduated from Leesburg High School in 1950, then completed his undergraduate degree at University of Florida where he was very proud to be a Florida Gator. He served in the military for two years before attending MIT for graduate school.

Jack and his former wife, Anna Gayle, moved their family from Florida to Colorado in 1972 where he spent 25 years working as an executive for Manville Corporation. He enjoyed many outdoor activities, including skiing, tennis, fishing, and hiking. He retired to Florida, but he was soon working again at DisneyWorld, where he piloted 40-foot boats and greeted guests as Captain Jack for over 10 years. He reconnected with his high school sweetheart, Patsy Meier, and they enjoyed frequent vacations on Cocoa Beach with family. Until a few years ago, Jack also enjoyed weekly lunches with his Leesburg Liar’s Club (high school friend group) and talking with his neighbors in the Cypress Creek community of Leesburg.

Jack was loved by his family and friends. He always had a good story to tell, and he will be greatly missed. At Jack’s request, there will be no public services. Donations can be made to the charity of your choice in honor of Jack.
