Margaret E. Tenet
June 3, 1929 – February 16, 2024
Margaret E. Tenet (Billie) 94, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 16, 2024 in Tavares, FL. She was generous, selfless, and strong; a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be missed.
Billie was born on June 3,1929 in Greenville, SC. Her husband of 71 years predeceased Billie on February 12, 2022. Her brother and sister, Sarah Pendleton and Hollie Ergle Jr. also predeceased her. Survivors include her daughter and son, Mary Vandewater and Russell Tenet Jr., two grandsons, David Vandewater and Michael Vandewater and seven great grandchildren.
Billie attended Winthrop College and then went on to be a University of South Carolina Gamecock. She worked as a Kindergarten Teacher, Bookkeeper, and Medical Office Manager. She was a talented artist who is leaving behind her paintings for others to enjoy. Her joy and life revolved around her family in her last years. The grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her special contentment and pleasure.
The family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Gardens at Tavares for their love and care.
