Robert Willard Graves, of Tavares, passed away Thursday, February 15th, 2024. Robert was born on February 13th, 1943, in Eustis, FL. He attended Tavares High School and joined the US Air Force in 1961. He served as a jet engine mechanic for 4 years and was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam War. After the Air Force, he worked as a driving instructor for the National Guard for 2 more years.

He met his wife, Betty, in 1966, and they were married on June 10th, 1967. They had two children, Patrice and Jason, and were happily married until Betty passed away January 2nd, 2022.

Robert had many vocations over his lifetime. He worked with his father at the family gas station repairing vehicles. He taught drivers education to students young and old. Robert also ran his own business servicing and installing fire systems and extinguishers throughout Lake county. His favorite job was working as a tour bus driver traveling throughout the country.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Patrice of Tavares, FL., his son, Jason and his wife Jessica of Eustis, FL., and his two grandsons Jordan and Jackson.
