David DeLa Cruz of Umatilla, Florida passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was 54.
David was born in Findlay, Ohio to Alfredo and Ana Maria DeLa Cruz. He met the love of his life, Julia and they fell in love. They were married on November 6, 1998. David and Julia moved to Umatilla in 2004 from Ohio. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Umatilla. David was an avid guitar player. He loved music. He recently went to school and became a band instrument repair technician.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ana Maria DeLa Cruz; brother, Daniel DeLa Cruz; and his sister, Christine Mechelle Pullom. David is remembered and will be dearly missed by his wife of 25 years, Julia; children, Alicia (Hugo) Garcia of Graceville, Florida, David (Amber) DeLa Cruz of Portland, Oregon, Gabriella DeLa Cruz of Portland, Grace DeLa Cruz of Umatilla, and Michael (Sydney) Watson of Durham, North Carolina; father, Alfredo DeLa Cruz of Findlay, Ohio; siblings, Alfred (Jill) DeLa Cruz, Gilbert (Deborah) DeLa Cruz, Tanya Ana Medina-Tovar and Regina DeLa Cruz, all of Findlay, Ohio; and 3 grandchildren, Isaac, Tristan and Samantha.
A celebration of life will be held at the First Baptist Church of Umatilla on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
