An officer responded to an undisclosed Leesburg residence regarding a 911 hang-up call with a woman stating “he’s going to jail tonight” around 9:15 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

The officer met with the female victim and 45-year-old Johnny Lee Fisher, her boyfriend of 14 years. They lived together as a family with a child in common. The child of both parties was present and spontaneously uttered that Fisher used a beer bottle to strike the victim, the report said.

During an interview, the victim stated she and Fisher had gotten into a verbal argument. She told him to leave the residence, and the two began to have a struggle over who would take the computer in the garage, the report said.

The victim denied any physical altercation that night, but the officer saw noticeable swelling on her left cheek. She refused to prosecute or complete a sworn written statement. Still, the juvenile again stated that Fisher used a beer bottle to strike the victim in the head in the garage, the report said.

While interviewing Fisher, he advised he had been sleeping in his bed when the victim began to yell and demand he leave for the night. A verbal argument ensued between the two. As he gathered some of his belongings, he grabbed a computer, the report said.

Fisher and the victim had a struggle over the computer in the garage before he allowed the victim to keep it. He then called for a family member to respond to the residence to take him somewhere for the evening. He declined to let the officer interview the juvenile, but he observed a cracked Heineken beer bottle set off to the side in the garage along with beer spilled on the floor, the report said.

Based on the evidence and the juvenile’s statements, Fisher was arrested on charge of simple battery (domestic). He was transported to the Lake County Jail and released after posting $5,000 bond.
