Persistent trespasser arrested at Palm Plaza in Leesburg

A Mount Dora man was arrested for trespassing at Palm Plaza  in Leesburg after being recgonized by law enforcement through previous encounters.

Officers responded to thes hopping plaza at 717 N 14th Street, regarding a trespasser, later identified as 42-year-old Elijah Lee Terrell, at around 3:04 p.m. Jan. 23, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. 

Upon their arrival, officers found Terrell outside of a business and recognized him from multiple prior incidents. During this time, they were told he had been issued a trespass warning. He was subsequently placed under arrest about 20 minutes later without incident and transported to the Lake Couty Jail for booking procedures, the report said. 

Terrell was charged with trespassing after warning but released on his own recognizance. He is responsible for appearing in court Feb 13.
