A flasher was has been sentenced for indecent exposure after exposing himself to women on two different dates in Leesburg.

Corey Waldo Lane, 32, of Groveland, was sentenced this past week to 60 days in the Lake County Jail. Lane was also ordered to pay fines and court costs totaling $474 as well as $50 for each day he spends in the Lake County Jail. After Lane completes his jail sentence he will also serve 10 months of probation and must obtain a psycho-sexual evaluation. He must complete any treatment recommended by professionals.

Affidavits of probable cause detailed the events that led to Lane’s arrest. Two women had purchased food at the Wendy’s restaurant at Lake Square Mall on the afternoon of June 18. The women left Wendy’s and drove into the mall parking lot to eat their food. They noted that a yellow Ford Escape SUV parked next to them where they could clearly see a man, later identified as Corey Waldo Lane, expose his penis and begin masturbating while looking at the women. One of the women was able to use her cell phone to make a video which clearly showed Lane’s action. She also took a picture of his license plate. A detective met with the women who were able to identify Lane as the man who had exposed himself to them on June 18. Lane was arrested for this offense on Aug. 18.

A second woman contacted the police on Aug. 30 regarding an incident which had occurred on Aug. 13 while she was cleaning her car at the Mister Car Wash located at 10043 U.S. Hwy. 441. On that date she said a man in a yellow Ford SUV had parked near her. While moving about her vehicle she saw the man, later identified as Lane, masturbating where she could clearly see what he was doing. She left the car wash and told the car wash manager what she had seen, but was too afraid to contact the police directly. The woman later told the police that she feared the man and lost sleep over the incident. She went on-line and found out that Lane had been arrested by the Leesburg police for the June incident. When she contacted the police she was able to identify Lane as the man she saw expose himself. The detective who was investigating her report was able to obtain a security video which showed Lane’s vehicle pull up next to the victim’s car and her reaction. Lane was arrested for the August 13 incident on Sept. 8.
