A Eustis man was arrested this week on a battery charge from when he headbutted a woman’s nose in December.
Blake Edward Bush, 26, was taken into custody Wednesday morning by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant.
On Dec. 8, 2023, a deputy with LCSO responded to an undisclosed Deland residence, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County. The female victim advised that she heard her parents and Bush engaged in a verbal altercation in the front yard. She went outside and yelled at Bush to stop and leave the residence, at which point he approached and got extremely close to her face.
Bush then reached toward the victim’s throat with one hand and headbutted her in the face, the affidavit said. She fell to the ground, and he fled from the area before law enforcement arrived. She sustained an injury to her nose from the headbutt.
The affidavit noted that Bush had a prior conviction for battery on Oct. 16, 2023.
When Bush was arrested Wednesday, he was charged with domestic battery (second offense) on a warrant from Lake County. He was transported to the Lake County Jail with bond set at $2,000.
