The city of Eustis invites its neighbors to celebrate the New Year with its opening First Friday event of the year this week.Â
On Jan. 5 from 6 to 9 p.m., downtown Eustis will come alive with Fire & Ice featuring an ice sculptor and special fire performances throughout the evening. Live music by the Dave Capp Project featuring France Neil on our Eustis Street stage will highlight the evening along with food and shopping down the city’s streets.Â
The ice sculptor from Ice Pro in Orlando will be showcasing his talents from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Grove Street. Spectators are encouraged to watch as he creates an incredible Eustis-themed sculpture out of a block of ice!Â
In keeping with the theme, an exciting fire performer, Amora Fire, will also be performing shows at 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 p.m. in the center of town, juggling fire and committing daring acts for the crowd.Â
Come visit this family friendly event and enjoy all that Eustis has to offer. For more information, call 352-483-5491.Â
