Rodney Bahr, 77, of Leesburg, FL was called home to his Lord and Savior on December 22, 2023. Rodney was born on June 7, 1946 in Columbus, WI and married Kay Williams on October 19, 1974.

Rodney dedicated his life to serving others, whether it be in the classroom at Cambria-Friesland Elementary school, where he retired after 33 years of teaching or in the community, serving on various boards and committees both in Cambria, and at Lake Griffin Harbor in Leesburg, where he and Kay retired in 2013.

Rodney was always up for sitting around a card table, hosting family and friends, a trip to the grocery store(s) to cook up some great meals, and always ready to offer up his cooking secrets and advice when called upon.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Kay, children Cory (Annette) Bahr of Summerville, SC, Brent (Tabitha) Bahr of Brandenburg, KY and Jodrell (Aaron) Jenkins of Ridgeville, SC. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren (Austin, Tyler and Sienna Bahr, Jackson and Tanner Bahr and Jada and Jacob Jenkins) and 1 great grandchild (Calvin Bahr) with a second one on the way. He is also survived by one sister, Marian Haas of Beaver Dam, WI and multiple nieces and nephews. Rodney is preceded in death by his parents, Art and Viola Bahr, and one brother, Robert Bahr, of Randolph, WI.

Rodney will be remembered as an easy-going, fun-loving friend, caring husband, doting father and grandfather. He will be missed by so many, but we find thanks for a loving and merciful God, that Heaven is now his home.

A memorial service will be held at Lake Griffin Harbor on December 27th at 2 pm. A future memorial service will be held in Sun Prairie, WI at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org) or American Red Cross.
