Vernon Lee, 84, of Tavares, Florida passed away December 12th, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born November 21, 1939, in Douglas, Georgia.
Vernon was the son of James (Buck) Lee and Lula Adams Lee. In addition to his parents, Vernon was predeceased by siblings, Barbara (Bobby) Clark and brother Paul Lee.
Vernon retired from A & P where he worked as a meat department manager. Later, he worked for the City of Mt. Dora until retiring again in 2001 with 20 years of service.
He attended the Fellowship Church of Leesburg, Florida.
Vernon and Lorraine Brooks Lee were married in 1984 enjoying 39 years of marriage. They shared six children: sons Michael Lee, Maynard Furge, daughters: Victoria Daily, Nicole Lyons, Deborah Zipperer, and Alison Walle. They shared seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held in the weeks ahead.
