Leesburg, Florida – Charles Ray Brandenburg died October 22,2023.

Born November 1, 1931, Charles was married 63 years before the death of his wife Barbara Lee Johnston Brandenburg, April 23, 2016.

He was predeceased by his parents Curtis and Cora Mae Williams Brandenburg and a brother, Clifton, killed in the Korean War. He is survived by a sister, Anna B. Potter, of South Daytona Beach, FL. He is the father of Wanda B. (James) Olive and Charlotte Lee Brandenburg of Lexington and Dallas Ray (Teresa) Brandenburg of Leesburg, FL. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Eva Michelle Brandenburg and Sarah Carolyn Olive; one grandson, David Andrew Brandenburg; one great-grandson, Harrison Andrew Brandenburg, and one cousin, Juanita Burkhart of Winchester, KY.

Mr. Brandenburg retired from IBM after 34 years of service. He also served in the United States Marine Corp and served as a Bryan Station Band Parent from 1969-1976 and one term as its president.

Services will be conducted on Saturday October 28, 2023, at 12:00pm at Kerr Brothers-Main Street with Rev. Wanda B. Olive officiating. Burial to follow in the Winchester Cemetery with Chris Harper officiating. Visitation will be 11am – 12pm.
