Charles Richard Michael, 86, of Leesburg, FL, went to be with the Lord on October 20, 2023.

Charles was born on July 21, 1937 in Baltimore, MD, to his loving parents; John and Molly. He was then raised by his adoring aunt and uncle; Josephine and Phillip Grochowski.
Chuck moved to Georgia in 1984 and there met the love of his life, Lynda in 1989. Chuck won Lynda’s heart and the couple married on December 16, 1990. In 2000, they moved to Florida, where they became devout members of First Baptist Church of Okahumpka.

Chuck’s faith was very important to him, he was a dedicated Christian and studied his bible consistently. Chuck was also a very intelligent and hardworking man, he never met anything he couldn’t fix. He enjoyed spending his time golfing, playing billiards, bowling, and woodworking as well as spending time with his beloved family.

Chuck often said that his job was to keep his wife, Lynda, smiling. Chuck will be missed dearly by his beloved family.

Charles is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lynda, his children; Richard C. Michael, Scott D. Michael, Christopher L. Thomasson, Robin L. Barnoske, Christine C. Kane, and Nancy J. Antoshak, as well as his grandchildren: Gregory D. Kane, Lillianne N. Kane, Daniel J. Antoshak, Tedd B. Antoshak, James M. Antoshak, Luke C. Antoshak, Sydney L. Catullo, Jacob Michael, Lisa Y. Phillips, and Jessica T. Phillips, and great-grandchildren; Maxwell Antoshak, Milo Antoshak, Nora Rae Catullo and Jadyn Foster.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his aunt and uncle, his four siblings; Dolores, Lenard, Marie, and John, a son; Martin W. Thomasson, daughter; Joetta Phillips, Grandson; Zachary Phillips, and great-grandson; Landon Antoshak.

Memorial Contributions can be made in Chuck’s loving memory to The Heritage Foundation or First Baptist Church of Okahumpka.
