William Lindahl

William “Bill” Lindahl, 83, of Ormond Beach FL, and formerly of Leesburg, passed away peacefully at home on October 13, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Bill was born in Boston MA in 1940 to parents Russell and Signe Lindahl.

Bill graduated with honors from the Franklin Institute of Technology with a degree in Engineering. Following his graduation, he joined the United States Navy and served as a Lieutenant during the Vietnam war. After a medical retirement from the Navy, he continued his education at the University of West Florida and graduated Suma Cum Laude with a degree in Computer Science. Unable to work after his medical retirement from the Navy, Bill focused on his family and helping friends and neighbors when able.

Bill was a 32-degree Mason and a proud Shriner. His favorite hobbies included working with computers, electronics, and woodworking.

Bill is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Lindahl; his daughter Dina (David) Rylander and their children Chad (Atzy) Lindahl; Jordan (Blayne) Rylander; Erica Rylander (Ben Jones); and his sister Dorothy Johnson.

Bill was interred with military honors at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Leesburg, FL. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Shiners Hospitals for Children.
