Paula May Poplawski of Leesburg, Florida, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2023, at the age of 67.

Beloved wife of Tom Poplawski for 49 years. Loving Mom of Jason (Jen) Poplawski and Michelle (Bill) Heimerl. Daughter of Jeannette and the late Ken Sosinski. Grandma of Audrey, Coltin, Celine, Thomas, Jenson, Natalie, Kaitlyn, Mike, and Dennis. Sister of Dale (Marsha) Sosinski, LeeAnn (Jim) Philbert and Pat (Kristin) Sosinski. Sister-in-law to the late Jim (Amy) Poplawski. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, other family, and many friends.

Paula was a fierce and doting mother of her two children from the early age of 18. And she was an absolute natural at it from day one. She loved being Mom, and later, Grandmother, alongside being a devoted wife for so many years to her husband, Tom. She always had a smile and was a joy to anyone around her. Paula enjoyed the simple things in life including being with family and friends, caring for her dog Lady, cooking outstanding meals, taking care of her flowers and birds, playing games, doing puzzles, and her life-long hobby of fishing. There are so many fond memories of vacations up north in Wisconsin with her family, casting a line together, spending time on the dock or in the boat, and just enjoying nature and the lakes and woods.

The family would like to thank all who reached out during this time for their love and compassion. Also appreciated is UF Health Leesburg Hospital and Cornerstone Hospice for their tremendous care and compassion during Paula’s final days.

Paula will be missed more than words can express but she will live on in the cherished memories she created with many family and friends.
