The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon on the Florida Turnpike in Lake County.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash which occurred at 2:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Mile Marker 280 in Clermont.
A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was involved in the crash. The driver and a passenger died at the scene. A second passenger in the vehicle was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
This crash remains under investigation.
