A Leesburg woman was arrested after allegedly battering her partner after his reported porn addiction drove her to a “breaking point.”
Police responded to an undisclosed Leesburg address in reference to a disturbance at about 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Upon arrival, the officer met with 52-year-old Migdalia Reyes. She advised that she and the male victim had been arguing for the past two days about him watching porn. She also admitted to hitting the victim multiple times in those past two days, the report said.
When asked what happened that morning, Reyes stated she got into another argument with the victim about him watching porn all day at work. She then slapped him on the face. As a result of her confession, Reyes was detained, the report said.
The officer then talked to the victim who advised he got into a verbal argument with Reyes because he watches YouTube all day, the report said. He stated it did not become physical and was evasive when questioned, stating “It’s OK. I can leave. It’s OK.”
Reyes was later taken to the Leesburg Police Department for the booking process. While there, she advised that she slapped the victim because he spends all day at work and hours at home watching porn. She stated he was extremely controlling and did not allow her to watch any television, including “Disney Plus,” because he accuses her of looking at other men. Reyes advised that she reached her breaking point over the past two days, the report said.
Reyes was ultimately arrested and charged with domestic battery (touch or strike). The New York native was transported to the Lake County Jail and released on recognizance. She is responsible for appearing in court on Oct. 18.
