Ruth Mitchell Anderson

Ruth Mitchell Anderson
November 29, 1920 – September 4, 2023

Ruth Mitchell Anderson was born on November 29, 1921 and died peacefully on September 4, 2023 at 5:20 am. She was 102 years, 8 months and 7 days old. (Young!)

Ruth lived a long and blessed life.

To her parents Dorothy Mitchell and Arthur Brooks Anderson and her older sister Betty and older brother John, she was ’the apple of their eye’. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was such a happy smiling person. She was a joy. She was a very interesting person. She loved to talk politics and about what was going on in the world. She was a really good golfer—fairways and greens— was her motto. She had a good eye when lawn bowling and everyone wanted her on their team. Not just for her ability and winning spirit….but to be with her. She made everyone’s day.

Ruth was an independent woman before it was in ‘fashion’. She followed her spirit wherever it took her. She never looked for confirmation of her life or what she had accomplished. She knew what it was to be her. She was a real human being in the true sense of the words.

Her sense of humor was unstoppable. She knew what was funny (ironically) and her spontaneity had everyone listening when she spoke. No-one wanted to miss how she saw life.

We will miss her presence in our lives here on earth, but know she is right here with us on the other side. She is grateful for her beautiful life and glad to be with her family and friends in Heaven.
