An Ocala woman was arrested for trespassing after ignoring an officer’s command to leave the premises of a business in Leesburg.
Police responded to a trespass request for 41-year-old Amanda Ruby Campbell at Center for Ankle and Foot Care, located at 305 Child Street, at about 9:09 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.
Two officers arrived, one of whom verbally trespassed Campbell at the request of a business representative. However, she refused to leave the premises despite being directed by an authorized member of law enforcement to do so, the report said.
As a result, the Ohio native was arrested and charged with trespass after warning. She was taken to the Lake County Jail and released on her own recognizance. She is responsible for appearing in court on Sept. 20.
