Geoffrey Lee Ball passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, in his own home on July 12, 2023.

Born in Humboldt, Tennessee, Geoffrey was the child of Florence and Jasiel Ball. Geoffery graduated high school in Tucson, Arizona, and graduated from Barrington College in Rhode Island, with a BS in psychology in 1968. During his life, Geoff wore many occupational hats. During the late 1960s and early 1970s Geoff was one of the first teachers to volunteer to work in the recently the segregated orange county schools, work he was very proud of, and spoke about for the rest of his life

For the last 30 years, Geoffrey has worked in the bait and tackle business, first with his brother Gordon, at Clermont Bait and Tackle, later, as a fishing guide at Revolution Off-Road, and finally at Brooker’s Bait and Tackle in Leesburg. He is survived by his beloved wife Vickie, his sons Randall and Alex, his brothers Gordon and Jay, nephews Nathan and Mathew, and his aunts, Doris and Nancy in Tennessee.

A memorial service was held at Page Theus Funeral Home on July 17, 2023.
