Stanley W. Garner, age 90, of Fruitland Park, FL, formerly of Trigg County, Kentucky, passed away July 1, 2023 at Ted & Diane Bradley Hospice House in Summerfield, FL.

Stanley was born December 20, 1932 to the late Oral and Flossie Joiner Garner. He was a retired operating engineer, local 150 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Highland, IN Lodge 569. He was also a member of First Baptist Church Leesburg, FL where he was involved in the Benevolence Community Care Center.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Garner; daughters, Connie (Donald) Benton of Livermore, KY, Debra (John) Worthington of Spring City, TN; son, Barry (Debbie) Garner of Valparaiso, IN; sister, Ardell Gilkey of Lowell, IN; brother, Owen Garner of Maryville, TN; grandchildren, Brian Benton, Todd Benton, Kelly Worthington, Johnni Cheek, Adam Garner and Megan Sowers; 14 great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Shari Pentheny of Fruitland Park, FL.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by first wife, B. Jeanette Garner; sisters, Thelma Colley and Brenda Poole; step-son, Frank Dalrymple, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 12:45 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Donald Benton officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
