Kenneth Adolph Dawson Sr.
October 27, 1935 – June 13, 2023

Kenneth was born to Adolph and Vergie Dawson on October 27th, 1935, in Umatilla, FL. He entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 13th, 2023. He remained a resident of Mount Dora all of his life, graduating in 1954 from Mount Dora High School.

Kenneth served in the US Navy on the mine sweeper, USS Destroyer.

Kenneth worked for American Can Company for many years and also collaborated with his dad in the citrus business, assisting his dad with A Dawson Groves. He learned so much from his father about the citrus business and always had a green thumb, when it came to growing both citrus, as well as beautiful and bountiful vegetable gardens.

Kenneth was predeceased by his loving parents, as well as many close family members. He is survived by his two children and their spouses: son, Kenneth A. Dawson, Jr (Barbara) and daughter, T. Lynn Dawson Moore (Rick). Grandchildren, Stephanie Kaffenbarger (Caleb), Katie Gibson (Kenny), Nicholas Dawson (Megan Haynes), and six great-grandchildren. Sisters and brother in laws include, Gwendolyn Dawson Love (Elton) and Martha Dawson Rapalje (Bob).

Kenneth will be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
