It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mary Wyckoff, age 67. She died peacefully on June 9, 2023. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and sweet friend.

Mary was born in Mt. Sterling, KY and grew up in Owingsville, KY. She lived in the same home in Owingsville until the family moved to Leesburg, FL in 1966. She worked for UF Health Hospital for twenty-three years as a nursing assistant until she retired in 2021. She loved and cared for the community when they came across her there as a patient. She adored the coworkers she had as they became family to her. She had a love for the beach that she shared with some lifelong friends.

Mary is survived by her husband of almost 42 years, Gary Wyckoff of Leesburg and her sons John McKinley and Mark Wyckoff (Connie). Her brother, Phil Strode (Becky) of Cocoa Beach. In addition, she is survived by four grandchildren: Landon, Kayla (Bjorn), Jordan (Zach) and Trey, as well as her four great grandchildren (Jaxon, Gatlin, Hartley and Nash). She also is survived by her nephew Bradley (Blake and Dylan) niece Amy (Peyton) and niece Julie (Tom and Lucy). She was an amazing Mimi and her legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the memories we share.

A funeral service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Beyers Funeral Home, 1123 W. Main St. Leesburg, FL. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM with a memorial service to follow from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share their fondest memories.

Though Mary’s physical presence may be gone, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. She will be dearly missed but forever in our hearts.
