Dawn Michelle Kennedy Bunnell (known as Michelle) departed this life with her loving family by her side on Thursday, June 8, 2023. She was 51.
Michelle was born Sunday, May 21, 1972, at the Naval Air Station Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida to John and Glenda “Cookie” Kennedy. She is survived by her husband, Garrett, son, Josef Weiss, daughter, Shae Weiss, her parents, brother, Mike Kennedy and nephews Camden and Cade Kennedy.
Michelle was raised in a Military Family with assignments in Jacksonville, Florida, Brunswick, Maine and Patuxent River, Maryland. She graduated from Leonardtown High School, Leonardtown, Maryland, Lake-Sumter Community, now State College, Leesburg, Florida and Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida.
Her dynamic personality served her well as a Realtor Assistant, Real Estate Appraiser, Executive Secretary of a leading U.S. manufacturer and distributor of consumer electronics and a self-employed creator of “Creative Design Concept” performing interior decorating of residential and commercial properties throughout central Florida.
A Celebration Gathering will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, June 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Directors, 326 E. Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726
The Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, June 16 at 11:00 AM at the Lake Eustis Christian Church in Eustis, 315 E. Orange Avenue, Eustis, FL 32726 (across from funeral home). Gathering from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
A Graveside Ceremony will follow the church ceremony at the Umatilla Annex II Cemetery, 39556 Golden Gem Drive, Umatilla, FL 32784.
