A bicyclist was killed when he was hit by a pickup truck in Lake County.
The 36-year-old man had been traveling west on the shoulder of State Road 46 east of Deal Drive in Mount Plymouth at 10:24 p.m. Friday, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
A 28-year-old Apopka man was driving a pickup truck and was also headed west on State Road 46 when the bicyclist traveled into the path of the pickup. The right front side of the truck struck the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup and his 2-year-old male passenger were not injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
