A suspect has been charged in the theft of a $169 bottle of cognac from a Leesburg liquor store.

The bottle of Remy Martin Cognac was stolen in January from the Liquor Warehouse on U.S. Hwy. 441, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department. An employee recognized the suspect who was caught on video surveillance. The clerk identified the suspect as 34-year-old Brenna Lee Harmon, an ex-employee of the nearby City Star Diner. The clerk confirmed the identity through previous law enforcement mugshots of Harmon, who has a lengthy criminal history.

Harmon was already lodged at the Lake County Jail when she was arrested this past week in connection with the theft of the bottle of cognac. She continues to be held without bond at the jail.

She had been arrested last year in a theft at an AT&T store.
