Sharon Waters, 77 of Tavares went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2023.
Sharon was born in Eustis, Florida and spent most of her life here in central Florida. She attended local schools and spent much of her career as a manager in a variety of retail sales positions. Sharon loved quilting, creating unique and distinctive patterns and designs. She loved to see the joy each one brought to relatives and friends. Sharon loved trying new things just to know she could do them. In her younger years, she was an outdoorsy girl who enjoyed fishing and air boating. She was a skilled do-it-yourselfer who could install flooring, loved woodworking, fixed computers and did odd jobs around the house. She adored her children and grandchildren and loved the Lord with all her heart.
Sharon is survived by her sons Jeffrey Steele (fiancé Starr Barreto) of Leesburg and James Waters (wife Jessie) of Tavares. She also leaves grandchildren Kasey, Jordon, Clayton, and Garrett and sisters Joyce, Donna, Patricia and Marilyn. Sharon was predeceased by her beloved husband James and her son Steve Steele.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, January 21 at 1:30 PM in the Beyers Funeral Home Chapel 1123 West Main St. in Leesburg. A visitation for family and friends will be from 12:30 to 1:30. Interment will be in Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis.
