Duane Edgar Dean, of Grand Island, Florida, passed away on Friday December 30, 2022, at the age of 93. He was born in Lansing, Michigan to his parents Edgar and Majel Dean on June 17, 1929. On August 23, 1954, he married the love of his life Evelyn Joy Dean. Duane was a member of the United States Army and fought during the Korean War. He obtained a master’s at the University of Michigan in accounting. He worked at Midwest Abrasive and Maquatex in Michigan. He retired to Lake Placid, Florida in 1991, and Duane moved to Grand Island in 2017.
Duane was predeceased by his wife Evelyn Joy Dean in 2019 and son Paul in 1977.
Duane is survived by his son David Dean (JoAnne) of Grand Island; grandchildren Daniel (Nicole) Dean, Joe Paul (Mel) Dean, and Sam Dean; great grandchildren Dexter and Wren.
