A husband and wife got into an argument after after an evening of drinking which resulted in both of them being arrested.
Lake County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 70 Lattice Drive in Leesburg at 5:11 a.m. Saturday when both 43-year -old Ted Lafavor and his wife, 44-year- old Kendra Lafavor, called 911. When the deputies arrived they interviewed Kendra first and then Ted.
The Nebraska native said that her husband became irate when she told him that she had booked an airline flight to stay with her family. She then moved onto the porch where she began smoking. She claimed that Ted pushed her chair over and then began hitting her head on the floor, according to the arrest report. She had a welt on the top of her head and some blood on her left wrist that was not caused by an abrasion.
Ted, who was “extremely intoxicated,” told the deputies he had been sleeping on the couch when Kendra attacked him, scratching his right arm which began to bleed. After the attack he said that they had gone to the front porch. He told the deputies that she was drinking beer and smoking. When she tried to grab the container which held their cigarettes she fell from her chair hitting her head. He claimed he never hit her.
Due to the conflicting stories and the couples extreme intoxication they were both placed under arrest for domestic battery. Bond was set at $1,000 for each of them. Both posted bond and were released.
