A YouTube video led to arrests in a high school football rivalry stunt in Lake County.

Taken into custody on Thursday by the Mount Dora Police Department were:

• Nikolaus Peter Ransburgh, 20, of Sorrento, who is facing charges of criminal mischief, theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and trespassing on school grounds. He is free on $11,000 bond.

• Luke Christian Long, 19, of Clermont, who is facing charges of criminal mischief, theft, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and trespassing on school grounds. He is free on $11,000 bond.

Long and Ransburgh were identified by Tavares High School officials in a video posted to YouTube. In the video, Long is seen standing in the end zone at the football field at Mount Dora Christian Academy with his pants down around his ankles with a crude caption alluding to the Mount Dora Christian Academy rivalry with Tavares High School. Ransburgh is seen sitting on the black Bulldog mascot located on the sidelines. The football field is not open to the public and is located behind two locked fences. It “only can be accessed by climbing the fences, entering the property illegally,” according to an arrest report. The incident took place in September on the eve of a matchup between Tavares High School and Mount Dora Christian Academy.

In addition, Long and Ransburg along with 19-year-old Logan Bell of Tavares are accused of stealing a sign from The Funky Monkey Gastrobar in Mount Dora and using it to slide down the stairs of The Renaissance Building located in the historic district of downtown Mount Dora. Damage was estimated to be in excess of $1,000. Another YouTube video “clearly depicts” Ransburgh, Long and Bell, as well as a 16-year-old juvenile, “sliding down the stairwell and damaging (the) historic building’s staircase,” the report said. The YouTube post named “Stair Surfing” also showed Ransburgh “urinating in the elevator.”

Bell is facing charges of criminal mischief, theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He is free on $9,000 bond. It wasn’t clear if the juvenile is facing charges.
