Nancy Kottke of Leesburg Florida passed away on August 5, 2022 at the age of 80. Nancy was born on February 25, 1942 in Akron, Ohio She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas Kottke Sr.
Nancy’s only child, a daughter, Kim O’Keefe tragically passed away at the age of 17 on October 3, 1980. Nancy was a step mother to Thomas Kottke Jr and his wife Stacey and a grandmother to Sayler and Weston Kottke.
Nancy is also survived by her only brother, Thomas Kuchenbecker, her nephew Thomas Kuchenbecker Jr and her niece, Christine Hencken and her stepmother, Emma Kuchenbecker.
Nancy grew up in South Florida where as a young girl she had a passion for horses that she carried with her, her whole life, and was a member of The American Quarter Horse Association.
As an adult, she became a well known and a popular bartender at the Tipperary Pub in Deerfield Beach Florida. In 1989 Nancy and her Husband Tom Sr, moved to Lake County Florida where she worked at LJ’s Lounge of Leesburg during the day shift. For 38 years Nancy took great pleasure in serving her customers as a bartender.
Nancy had many interests in her life, she was a breeder of the Von Baum bloodline of Dachshunds and was an avid fisherwoman, always ready to go offshore fishing aboard their Mako boat, ” Feelin’ Froggy.”
Nancy was also known for her fabulous cooking and her great gardening skills that she loved to share with her family and friends. Nancy will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved her.
Direct cremation and no service will be held per her wishes. Her ashes will be set to sea by private service.
