On Friday, July 15, 2022, Roger Douglas Miracle of Fruitland Park, FL, passed away at age 82 after a long battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS).

He was born in Three Rivers, MI to Wilfred and Avis Miracle. He graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1957 and later received his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mechanics and Meteorology from the University of Michigan in 1962. After college, he joined the Air Force where he served as an officer during the Vietnam War. After his discharge from the Air Force, Roger went to work for and retired from Hoover Universal / Johnson Controls / Vintec, Inc. as a Manufacturing and IT Executive in the automotive parts industry. He had a passion for weather, HAM radio, motorcycles, and NASCAR.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Rosemary Miracle of Fruitland Park, FL and 2 daughters: Kelly (Scott) Mazur of Marietta, GA and Laura (Scott) Lindsey of Sevierville, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents Wilfred and Avis Miracle, and brother Judson Miracle.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit and the teams of Doctors, Nurses, and Support Staff of the University of Florida – Shands Hospital ICU. They worked tirelessly on Roger’s behalf.

Visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home, 134 N US Highway 44, Lady Lake, FL 32159 on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 at 1:00 PM with full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either MDS Foundation (www.mds-foundation.org) or Tunnel to Towers Foundation (www.t2t.org). Also, please consider routinely donating blood to the American Red Cross.
