Fay Shiflett Farner, 87, (widow of George Farner) left this earth to be with her loved ones on July 15, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio to Allen and Ruth Winkle. She was the oldest of 6 children. After graduating from Lynchburg High School, Fay went on to further her education at Columbus Business University.
Fay was preceded in death by her late husband: Robert Sherman Shiflett Sr.; son: Robert Sherman Shiflett, Jr. (Bobby); 3 brothers: Richard, Dale and Bill Winkle. Also, by her mother and father: Allen and Ruth Winkle.
Fay moved to Leesburg in 1958. Fay worked at Advante of Leesburg for 30 years and City of Leesburg for 10 years.
Fay is survived by 3 daughters: Pamela Shiflett of Ponce Inlet, Florida; Lisa Skidmore (Tom) of Palm Coast, Florida; Michelle Shiflett (Pete) of Wildwood, Florida; daughter-in-law: Cheryl Shiflett of Newnan, Georgia; stepsons: Robert Farner (Tammy); Billy Farner (Tami); stepdaughter: Patricia Walsh (Joe); sister: Phyllis Danyi of Fruitland Park, Florida; brother: Larry Winkle (Kathy) of McKinney, Texas; sister-in-law: Cindy Winkle (Clermont); 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Faye enjoyed traveling, bowling and shopping for shoes!! She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
