Kathlyn “Lynn” Chandler passed away on July 11, 2022 at the age of 74 in Leesburg, Florida. She spent a lifetime managing Type 1 Diabetes and faced her challenges with independence and determination. Living far past her life expectancy, she finally succumbed to complications of diabetes – with her heart and kidneys both giving out. She held on to see her son Seth and daughter-in-law Jen and passed the next day.

She would tell stories of running wild through the creeks and woods of Florida as a child. From Longwood to Jacksonville to Destin, she spent her life as a true Floridian. During her husband Bill’s struggle with cancer, they moved to Tiburon, California to be close to Seth and his family. But just a few months ago, Florida was calling once again. Longing for the friendly neighbors of the South, she hatched a plan to return to Florida to The Villages – only to be robbed of this next chapter.

There is no doubt that Bill was the love of her life. They shared so many wonderful times – driving through the backroads of the South, going out on the family boat and hunting for Big Foot. (Yes, she very much believed in Big Foot who she saw several times.) They were inseparable. And hopeful they’re back together right now.

Her only son Seth was the apple of her eye – she was so very proud of him and constantly bragged about him against his will.

Lynn was a one-of-a-kind person who loved reading, telling stories and gossip. She was very creative – sewing, painting and crafting many beautiful pieces in her lifetime. She was choosy about her friends and loyal to the ones she chose.

She is survived by her son Seth, her daughter-in-law Jen and her three grandchildren: Alex (21), Mina (18) and Georgia (8)

Her family will scatter her ashes along with Bill’s in the special places they requested.
