A woman who allegedly fired shots at her former boyfriend has been arrested for violating a no contact order.

Candaece Chatman, 41, was taken into custody Wednesday at the Lake County Jail. The no contact order arose from a April 26, 2021 incident in which Chatman allegedly fired several rounds from a moving car at her former boyfriend’s house. He was at home and his children were playing in the front yard when the shooter opened fire. When Chatman was arrested for the drive-by shooting incident, she resisted arrest and injured a police officer.

As a result of her arrest, she has been forbidden to have contact with her estranged boyfriend.

Earlier this month, she called her former boyfriend at his workplace. He hung up on her and called law enforcement, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

She is being held with no bond set.
